Circular economy at ESE

Acting responsibly for the product and the environment

A modern circular economy goes well beyond recycling. At ESE, materials and products are developed from the outset to be rented, reused, repaired, refurbished and finally recycled at the real end of their service life. The life cycle of our products can be significantly extended in this way. ESE is applying its circular economy model in four fields:

  • Adaptive development for later reuse

  • Maintenance and repair for an extended service life

  • Parts harvesting

  • Recycling

A circuit close to the user increases the added value for the circular economy and has a direct impact on a product’s ecological footprint and greenhouse gas emissions.

The longer the service life of a product and the more the products and their parts are reused, the lower the raw material needs will be. Products will only be recycled at the end of their life cycle in order to transform them into new products. ESE has proven that HDPE could be reused at least 10 times: >>article
